The chosen servant of Allah, Muazzin Jaffir. Muazzin Jaafir does more than most in our community and Masjid . He has dedicated his life towards the upbringing of our Masjid and spends his days and nights ensuring that all runs smoothly and with ease.

Muazzin Jaafir, a simple, humble servant of Allah. His unwavering dedication to the Masjid and community is truly inspiring and striking. From dusk till dawn, his days are spent in things that are only for the benefit of the Masjid

Whether it be vacuuming the Masjid carpets, washing towels, cleaning the Masjid, preparing and cleaning the Madrassah every day, taking part in social upliftment programs, giving hampers, distributing food , assisting in the building project of the Masjid, assisting Tabligh Jamaats; there is not a stone on the Masjid ground that he has not had a hand in.

The clean towels in the Wudhu Khana's, the soft, clean Musalla's, the well-maintained court yard, the clean Masjid are all because of the commitment of Muazzin Jaffar.

In the month of Ramadhaan he is, once again, in the forefront ensuring that all the affairs of the Masjid run smoothly. He lays the Dastarghaan prior to Iftaar, sets the dates and water, gives the Maghrib Athaan and after Iftaar rushes to ensure that the Masjid is clean once again for Taraweeh and Eesha Salaah.  The last 10 nights of Ramadhaan, one will find Muathin Jafir in the khidmat and nusrat of those in Itikaaf. He sets the tents for the 10 days and ensures that they are comfortable and looked after.

Despite all these amazing things that he does, on a daily basis, the hearts that he touches, the lives that he impacts; an occasion that truly sticks to me and inspires me is his wholehearted commitment to the Masjid.

Earlier this year when he lost his wife in Malawi, he returned only for a few days , and came back shortly after- to return to his duties and responsibilities . Now, he has been left to tend to his 3 young boys, cook, clean and look after them-like a mother would.

Muazzin Jafar contributes exponentially to the community and the Masjid. He selflessly submits himself to the daily affairs of the Masjid and never fails to fulfill the duties of the Masjid. We can never truly encompass all that Muazzin Jaffir has done and contributed to the community and to our

Masjid, but we do make dua that Allah prepares for him a castle in Jannah and may he adorn it beautifully, like how Muazzin Jaffir adorns the house of Allah in this world.

With his mesmerizing voice confined to the walls of the Masjid, I await the day when the melodious voice of Muazzin Jafar can echo the streets of our town and enter my home.
