Heavy and extensive air strikes have been reported in the northern region of the Gaza Strip. Disturbing videos have surfaced, displaying the stark reality of the conflict with blackened skies, thundering artillery, and fiery explosions illuminating the night.

On 27 October 2023, the Palestinian health ministry issued a 212-page document listing the names and ID numbers of 7 028 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza.

The continuous airstrikes have caused the internet to be severed, cutting off internal communications within Gaza, leaving the population in a state of uncertainty. On 27 October 2023, the Palestine Cellular Communications company reported total disruption to mobile and internet services in Gaza.

Amnesty International and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) have expressed concerns after losing contact with their personnel in Gaza, raising fears about gathering vital information on human rights violations and potential war crimes. Additionally, the World Health Organization (WHO) has stated its inability to communicate with its staff in the region.

A message was shared by RT’s video agency as Gaza is completely cut off from the outside world, “I don’t know what to do with my children and my family. Everyone is afraid everyone is terrified, and there is screaming everywhere in the Gaza Strip.”

Thousands of Israeli soldiers have reportedly entered Gaza in the ground invasion Israel has been threatening since the start of its war, as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s spokesperson has rejected calls for a ceasefire, affirming a firm stance against the current reality.

Meanwhile, a US spokesperson has asserted Israel’s position, emphasising that no justifications are owed, and there will be no limitations in their actions. “[Israel] owes no-one any justification…[it will have] no red lines.”

Reports emerged early this morning that the adviser to Israel’s PM said, “When this is over, Gaza will be very different,” as military operations continue.

Palestinian sources have reported Israeli forces storming the Jalazone camp in the West Bank, adding to the mounting tensions.

Reports confirm the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet have claimed the elimination of the chief of Hamas’s aerial forces.

In a separate development, a US defence official has clarified that recent strikes against Iranian targets in Syria are unrelated to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

In a related development, the Israeli government is set to grant police the authority to use live ammunition against civilians blocking roads or town entrances during the multi-front conflict. This move, endorsed by Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, was initially proposed by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir earlier this year.

Meanwhile, a protest at New York’s Grand Central Station demanding a ceasefire in Gaza led to the arrest of numerous demonstrators, prompting authorities to temporarily close the station.

“During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act” (George Orwell).

These reports emerge. The truth remains with the witnesses on the ground.

It is imperative for the Muslim Ummah to engage in acts of ibadah such as salaah, zhikr and fervent dua.
