All indications are that salary negotiations between government and the public servants for the 2021 year is not going to be an easy one.
Trade unions representing public servants have tabled a wage proposal of more than 7%.
Meanwhile, the government is doubling down on a three-year pay freeze. And unions are not accepting it.
After all government have been bending over backwards for public servants, in awarding them inflation-busting salary increases for more than a decade.
