Born and raised in a Baptist Christian family, Smith says he began to question the Christian Ideology of Trinity.

“It didn’t make sense to me, as a young boy this didn’t make much sense to me.”

Smith says his co-worker gave him a Qur’aan.

“I started to read the Qur’aan, and I kid you not, right away I realise there’s something extremely special about this message.”
