Home made cough remedies using honey

HOME MADE RECIPE 1
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar – organic
2 tablespoons honey – raw honey
2 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Place all the ingredients in a small jar and shake to combine. Leave at room temperature for a few days or place in the refrigerator for longer storage. Shake well each time, before using. The spices will not dissolve into the liquid. It will not be thick syrup, it should remain watery. Take as needed

HONEY AND LEMON RECIPE 2
Ingredients
•    1½ cups organic raw honey
•    ½ cup organic extra virgin olive oil
•    1-5  lemons, juiced (the more the better)
•    
Instructions
1.    Add honey, olive oil and lemon juice to a small pot.
2.    Stir.
3.    Heat over medium heat just until steaming, stirring.
4.    Remove from heat and let cool.
5.    Place into a jar with a lid.
6.    Store in the refrigerator
7.    Take 1 tablespoon warmed as needed.

 
 
 
HONEY AND ONION – RECIPE 3
Thinly slice a medium yellow onion
Lay the slices in the glass jar.
Pour or spoon the honey over it a few times until you have loosely placed all the onion into the container.
Fill the container with honey up to the level of the onion or a little higher.
You will see that the onions actually shrink as their juices are drawn into the honey. After it sits overnight) or about 8 hours) strain out the onion pieces CAREFULLY. The onions will tend to stay clumped together. Take as often as you wish
 

CLOVES AND HONEY RECIPE 4
Cloves dull the pain of a sore throat, while honey helps suppress coughs and soothes inflamed throat tissue.
Mix 5 or 6 whole cloves in 1 cup honey and leaving the mixture in the refrigerator overnight. Remove the cloves from the honey in the morning and discard. For the best results, take 1 tsp. to 1 tbsp. of the clove-infused honey as often as needed to suppress coughing.

HONEY AND ONION – RECIPE 5
 Chop up one onion and put it in a small saucepan.  Add enough honey to cover it, and add a few medicinal herbs.  I only had powdered ginger, so I added 1tsp of that.  Let it simmer on very low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring every now and then.  Strain it, press it through a sieve and store it covered in a glass container.  You can give children 1 tsp of this up to every half hour.
RECIPE 6
INGREDIENTS.

The juice of half a lemon
4 tblsps honey
2 tblsp apple cider vinegar
¼ tsp of black pepper powder
¼ tsp of nutmeg powder
¼ tsp of bicarbonate of soda
¼ tsp of cinnamon powder
Mix all these ingredients well and drink 3 x a day.

Excellent for dry coughs as well as bronchitis and pneumonia. Also good for post nasal.
