The breakthrough AI devices with dual 4G sim which feature the Kirin 970 chipset and an all-new, simplified EMUI 8.0 based on Android™ 8.0 were launched in Cape Town on Monday.
Offline AI, thanks to the Kirin processor means the Huawei Mate10 Pro can do things like translate text even without internet connectivity.

It features the world’s largest dual speedy f1.6 aperture Leica camera lenses that no one else has managed in a smartphone. Huawei says its real-time object recognition means the cameras on the Huawei Mate10 Pro can adjust settings based on the subject and is able to recognise up to 13 different type of objects, adjusting the settings to take better pics.
The devices also have a 3D glass body, a rear fingerprint sensor and are symmetrically curved on all four sides for an ergonomic hold and are IP67 water and dust resistant.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10 feature a SuperCharge and 4000 mAh battery with AI-powered battery management, which understands user behaviour and intelligently allocates resources to maximize battery life.

A new aspect added to the Mate 10 series is PC mode, allowing users to connect their phone to PC sans dock.
The Huawei Mate10 Pro is the first non-Google device to ship with Android Oreo.
