Step 1: Take three and half cups macaroni boil with salt and oil and set aside.
Step 2: make a white cheese sauce with:
3 Tbsp ghee
3 Tbsp flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Braise until a rouxe forms. Add 1 cup or more milk and whisk continuously so that lumps do not form. Once it starts to boil and slightly thick, add a big handful of grated cheese. Whisk more until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.
Step 3: Steam frozen mixed veg in a little water. Drain and toss in some butter, salt and pepper. You can use only corn if you like. (This time I didn’t add any veg)
Step 4: Make mash with 3 potatoes. Boil in water with salt. when soft and all water burns out, add 1tbsp margarine, pepper and salt to taste.
Step 5: cook 1 cup cubed chicken fillet in 2tblsp ghee, 1 onion, green chilli, garlic, chicken spice, aromat, salt to taste and pepper to taste, mustard powder, garlic and herb spice. When chicken is halfway cooked, add 1 to 2 chopped tomatoes. Cook through. You can add tomato sauce, chilli sauce and mayo if you want chicken more saucy but I don’t.
Layer in a casserole dish: Macaroni, pour white sauce over, chicken and pipe mash over. Cover with grated cheese and slices of tomato and some mixed herbs or oregano. Place in oven on 180 degrees for 20 minutes to heat through and for cheese to melt. Enjoy.
