Bantu Holomisa, president of UDM, spoke with Radio Islam International as part of an initiative to better equip voters with information about different political parties ahead of the May 29 general election.
On former President Thabo Mbeki’s remarks that South Africa underwent a counter-revolution during Zuma’s reign, Holomisa suggests that Mbeki has ulterior motives for wanting the ANC to win the election outright and avoid a coalition government. The hidden agenda: to avoid the discovery of the corruption that allegedly began during his term.
Holomisa outlined the UDM’s successful projects, saying that would be enough to win them votes.
On the topic of forming a coalition government post-election, Holomisa said the UDM would be willing to form an alliance with any political party, emphasising that the UDM prioritises social well-being over positions.
