Ingredients
3 cups spinach, shredded / methi baji
1 large onion grated
1 tomato chopped
¼ cup mielie meal
¼ cup self raising flour or plain flour with ¼ tsp baking powder added
¼ cup chana flour
1 tsp ground dhania
1 tsp ground jeero
1 tsp salt
1 tblsp oil
1 egg can be omitted
1 tsp green masala
Method
1. Shred spinach very finely wash and drain well.
2. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
3. Or alternatively place all ingredients in a food processor and mix till well combined (add more flour if necessary)
4. Form into small sausage shapes with wet hands and fry in shallow oil over medium heat.
5. Brown on both sides and drain on paper towel.
6. Serve hot with puri.
