During the Palestine Report with Moulana Ebrahim Moosa on Radio Islam International, a stark picture of the ongoing crisis in Gaza emerged. The situation was described as a relentless, heavy bombardment, with casualties reaching alarming levels.

Moulana reported, “At the moment, it’s really a heavy, intensive bombing… At the moment, there’s more than 8 000 Palestinians who have been martyred, with over 3 342 children from that particular casualty list.”

Alarming developments extended beyond the bombings. Moulana highlighted assaults on hospitals, including the Al Ahli Arab Hospital massacre. The Shifa hospital, the Indonesian hospital and the Turkish hospital have also come under threat. Many people displaced by the Israeli attack are seeking shelter at hospitals in Gaza. There is widespread displacement within the community.

Reports indicate that Palestinian resistance forces thwarted Israeli incursions into Gaza.

The interview shed light on the situation in the West Bank, emphasising the Israeli assault on Jenin and the grave threats to various villages, highlighting Israel’s ethnic cleansing plan. Videos of Israeli occupation forces raiding Jenin and its refugee camp emerged on Sunday. Gunfire exchange between Israeli occupation and Palestinian resistance forces can be heard in the video. It was also reported that a heavy explosion targeted Israeli occupation forces during the raid.

Palestinian resistance efforts included an impactful infiltration into occupied territories, causing significant clashes near Eretz and Netiv HaAsara. Reports of Palestinian resistance rocket attacks targeting sensitive areas, such as the vicinity of the Israeli nuclear reactor in Dimona were discussed by Moulana Moosa.

Disturbing leaks of Israeli plans to relocate Palestinians to Egypt further heightened the tensions. Detailed scenarios, including the creation of settlements in Sinai and the forced displacement of Gazan residents, highlighted a long-standing Israeli strategy to depopulate Gaza.

Moreover, leaked budget documents from the United States indicated a potential fund request for Gazans leaving neighbouring countries, underscoring the gravity of the displacement crisis.

The interview concluded with an analysis of America’s vulnerable position in the wake of the escalating conflict. Moulana pointed out how the US’s recent military engagements in the region, coupled with its strained relations with key allies, have left the nation in a delicate position.
