The iStore in South Africa has announced that pre-orders of Apple’s new iPhone 8 are available from today.
Apple unveiled the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus last month on the 10th anniversary of the original iPhone at Apples new 1,000-seat Steve Jobs Auditorium in the company’s newly-built “space ship” campus.
The new iPhone 8 feature Apple’s first proprietary graphics processor, the A11 Bionic chip which provides greater speed, improved cameras and some features for augmented reality apps and wireless charging.
iStore says cash purchases for the device start at R13 499 for the 64 gig iPhone 8 while the 256 gig 8 Plus will retail for 18,499.
The retailer says customers will also have the option of purchasing iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in-store using their iStore Card from 20 October which gives customers the option to pay for their purchase over 24 months by means of monthly instalments or outside of a cellular contract.
