SABC Teams Up with Department of Basic Education to Launch Matric Results Service

To provide accessible and timely Matric results, the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has collaborated with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) to introduce the SABC Education Matric Results service. Scheduled for release on January 18, the service offers students nationwide the convenience of accessing their results until February 28.

How to Access Your 2023 Matric Results

The SABC Education Matric Results service caters to students from all provinces, enabling them to receive their results via SMS, USSD, or the MatricsMate App. To ensure a seamless experience, learners are encouraged to pre-register using the service.

Registration Methods

SMS Registration

SMS your exam number to 45856.
The system verifies the exam number for accuracy.
A charge of R1.50 per SMS applies (free SMSs do not apply).

USSD Registration

Dial *120*45856# and enter your exam number to register.
You will be charged R1.50 per minute.
Results will be sent to your phone once available.

MatricsMate App

Download the MatricsMate App from Google Play or Apple App Stores.
Register using your examination number to receive National Senior Certificate Examination results.

Additional Incentive

Students who register using any of the provided methods can win a share of R10,000 in airtime.

Need Help?

For any queries regarding registration and using the SABC Education Matric Results service, learners can contact the call centre at 011 507 4755, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The call centre will operate from midnight to 5 pm on the results release day.
