Samsung Wows with New Galaxy S Range Including Foldable Smartphone

Samsung has kicked off 2019 with a bang with the launch of four new Galaxy smartphones including its first foldable device which will only be available in South Africa later this year. 

Celebrating a decade since the launch of the first Galaxy S, Samsung introduced the S10, S10 Plus, the S10e and S10 5G

Samsung says the S10 is designed for those who want a premium smartphone with powerful performance and sets the stage for the next generation of mobile experiences. 

Speaking at the live stream of the launch at Discovery Place in Sandton on Wednesday, Samsung South Africa CEO Sung Yoon says the unveiling of the new range of Galaxy smartphones is a celebration of the company’s success. 

“We are here to unveil another Galaxy innovation which celebrates a history of unrivaled smartphone innovation and ushers in the next decade of mobile technology.” 

Samsung says for consumers looking for a supercharged device, the Galaxy S10+ takes every spec – from display, to camera, to performance – to the next level. 

The Samsung Galaxy S10 range go on sale in South Africa on 8 March and will cost R 15,999 for the S10e, R 18,999 for the S10 and R 20,999 for the S10 Plus. 

Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e will be available in Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Green, Galaxy S10+ will also be available in two, all-new, premium Ceramic models: Ceramic Black and Ceramic White

Samsung also unveiled its new line-up of Galaxy watches, the Galaxy Watch Active, the Galaxy Fit and Fit e, and the Galaxy Buds which is the company’s newest wireless earphones, focused on providing premium quality audio to users of their smart devices.
