Signs of Spring and the Weather

Yesterday we explained the three different ways that are commonly used to determine when Spring has begun.
But apart from this there are common signs which make it abundantly clear that no matter which way you look at it, Spring has begun.

One of the first signs that spring has sprung are the presence of tree buds. A plant’s buds act as a shield for the delicate flowers inside. Flowers of different shapes, sizes and forms come with individual and distinct protection. Throughout winter these buds remain closed and dormant, surviving the cold until their time comes to thrive in the spring, making a vibrant emergence from their compact casing.

This is undoubtedly the easiest way to determine the beginning of Spring.

What is Spring Weather?
Is there such a thing as typical spring weather? What kind of weather is spring season anyway?
When spring arrives, it often brings warmer temperatures and longer days. This translates into a certain unpredictability, with the typical weather changing depending on where you are in the world.

In some countries, for example, the typical weather in spring would usually be dry and calm because there’s less heat and moisture in the atmosphere. During spring, the sun’s position is quite high in the sky, leading to higher temperatures throughout the day and cooler by night-time.

However, this isn’t true for other places.
In the US, for example, spring brings with it, not just flood, but thunderstorms as well. These, in turn, create the perfect conditions for an abundance of lightning and tornadoes.
