POSTPONED TO 25 NOVEMBER
With the overwhelming support and traction we have received for our solidarity run, we have had to direct our request through the right channels in JHB to ensure a seamless route.
As sad as we are, we would love to do this correctly without complications.
We look forward to hosting this incredible initiative on Saturday, 25 November. Please notify as many as you can.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

It’s heartening to see the SA Car Community taking a proactive stance in response to the humanitarian crisis in Occupied Palestine, Congo, and Sudan. The initiative to organize a Solidarity Run demonstrates the community’s commitment to making a positive impact and alleviating the suffering of those affected by conflict.
The fact that 73 companies have joined the cause by making significant monetary contributions is a testament to the power of collective action and community engagement. Such collaborations are crucial in addressing the urgent needs of the affected populations and promoting human rights in regions experiencing turmoil in the latest war zone, Gaza.
The Solidarity Run scheduled for Saturday, 18 November, serves as a powerful Call-To-Action, encouraging further participation from the community and beyond. Events like these raise funds and awareness about the ongoing crises, fostering empathy and understanding among participants.
It’s important to continue fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility. The funds raised can provide essential humanitarian aid, such as medical assistance, food, shelter, and other necessities for those in need in Occupied Palestine.
The SA Car Community’s commitment to driving positive change showcases the potential for collective efforts to make a real difference in the face of humanitarian challenges.
Radio Islam International discussed the Solidarity Run with event organizers Muhammed Sheikh Rasool from Carcandyinc and the Auto Spa’s Zaahir Hoosen.
The initiative’s origin from a WhatsApp group and the commitment of approximately 30 people show the power of grassroots efforts in making a difference, Carcandyinc’s Mo pointed out.
The inclusive nature of the initiative invites people from all races and religions to join, and positive responses have been received from both the Muslim and non-Muslim communities, said Zaa from Auto Spa.
Speaking on the objective of the Run, Mo said it emphasizes the common goal of helping humanity and driving positive change. The objective of creating awareness through active participation rather than just social media sharing is a proactive approach to addressing issues.
Donating all proceeds to the Gift of the Givers, with transparent operations to ensure no mismanagement of funds, adds credibility to the initiative. Having representatives from the Gift of the Givers present on the day of the run further demonstrates a commitment to accountability and transparency, Zaa added.
The practical details, such as meeting at Nasrec at 16h00, marshals’ involvement in controlling traffic, and leading a convoy onto the highway, showcase an organized event. This not only ensures the safety of participants but also facilitates a coordinated effort to make the run successful.
The run does not only see individuals and businesses coming together for a cause that transcends cultural and religious boundaries but is also a positive and impactful initiative that can contribute to positive change and community building.
