INGREDIENTS:
500ml (2 cups) chopped spinach
0 onion chopped
1 tin cream style mealies (420g)
62.5ml (¼) oil
2 eggs
125ml (½ cup) cake flour
125ml (½ cup) pea/ chana flour
125 (½ cup) mealie meal
250ml (1 cup) milk
2-3 chillies
5ml (1tsp) salt
2.5ml (½ tsp) tumeric
5ml (1 tsp) packo masala
5ml (1tsp) ground cumin (jeera)
5ml (1 tsp) garlic paste
METHOD:
Sift pea/chana, mealie meal and cake flour in a bowl.
Add spices and garlic paste.
Add chopped onion, spinach and cream style mealies.
Beat eggs and oil, add milk and add to the mixture.
Blend well.
Spoon into greased ovendish and bake a 180*c for 35-40 minutes.
Optional:
Decorate with slices of coloured pepper before baking.
Add pieces of Vienna, cooked chicken or cubes of potato as desired.
