Ingredients
1 onion sliced
½ kg steak
Ginger garlic paste
Crushed green chilli
Crushed jeero
Salt to taste
Sliced tomatoes
1 medium potato cubed and boiled
Chopped dhania
Method:
Cook steak in spices until soft… add chopped onion when almost done. Allow steak to cool, add boiled potato, tomato sauce, mustard sauce & chopped dhania Mix well.
FOR THE DOUGH: 1 cup flour ,1/4 cup butter , 1 ½ tsp baking powder , 1/4 tsp salt & a dash of pepper , 1/2 cup milk ,1 small egg. Sift flour & dry ingredients together. Rub in the butter until it resembles bread crumbs. Slowly pour in beaten egg and milk mixture to make a soft dough. Do not knead or mix much. Spread half the dough in a well greased pan. Layer meat mixture, cover with tomato slices Then roll out the other half of the dough and cover the pie. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle sesame and poppy seeds. Put few blobs of butter over and bake for half an hour on 180.
