Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer has unveiled the most expensive smartwatch in the world retailing at R2.4-million.
The Connected Modular 45, the first Swiss Made TAG Heuer modular watch was launched during a March press conference in Brunnen, Switzerland.
The 45 mm case is in 18K polished white gold, and 589 baguette size diamonds adorn the bezel, a total of 23.35 carats.
Developed in collaboration with Intel and Google, the Connected Modular 45 runs Android Wear 2.0, packs an Intel Atom Z34XX processor, and features an AMOLED screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS.
It is water resistant to 50 metres and features an NFC sensor for payment and a new Companion app to enhance the software experience.
