He is a South African, a former ANC MP and one of the first people to call for a thorough investigation into the South African Arms Deal. Andrew Feinstein resigned in 2001 when the ANC refused to launch an investigation into the matter. Now living in the UK, he has written a globally acclaimed book The Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade. A book that lifted the lid off the secretive world of the global arms deal, revealed the corruption and the cover-ups behind weapons deals ranging from the largest in history – between the British and Saudi governments, to BAE’s controversial transactions in South Africa, Tanzania and eastern Europe. And now a film based on Andrew Feinstein’s book, is has also now debuted and this morning we welcome Andrew Feinstein on Radio Islam
