Makkah Mukarammah is the mother of all cities, the centre of the earth. It is home to the first house of Allah to be established in the world, the birthplace of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the place of the first revelation. Makkah is where it all began. Being estranged from this spiritual capital brings out a profound pain and sadness which forever hearkens a longing to return.
