[WATCH] Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta Praised for Respecting Athan During Tribute for Tanzanian President John Magufuli

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has been praised for respecting the athan during a rally.

Kenyatta was addressing hundreds of people at Jamhuri Stadium where he was paying tribute to late Tanzanian President John Magufuli.

During the proceedings, the athan from Masjid Gadaffi in Dodoma near Jamhuri Stadium was broadcast.

Kenyatta immediately halted his speech until the athan was concluded.

The event was being broadcasted live on TV.
