[Watch] Perspectives from university learners

Learners at the University of the Witwatersrand spoke to Radio Islam International about what the 2024 South African general election means for them.

A young Pakistani national expressed optimism about South Africa’s democratic journey, saying that the country’s progress is occurring at a faster rate than other young democracies.

Multiple conversations highlighted the need for change, notwithstanding the high risks associated with this change.

Parties’ economic associations with Zionist organisations were identified as a deal-breaker for one South African learner.
