Radio Islam International weekend presenter Naumaan Panchbaya is also an educator at Eldorado Park Primary School for the past four and a half years, teaching natural science and technology. He is the 702 September finalist teacher of the year.

Sharing his teaching journey with Radio Islam, Panchbhaya highlights the vast difference between teaching and radio environments.

He said learning to interact with individuals from the Radio Islam Station has assisted him in his field of education.

702 two ran a campaign for the year 2022 in which many entries were received. Panchbhaya did not know he was a nominee, as teachers are often unaware.

“There are parents who have sent through testimonials, motivational messages and letters to 702,” he says.

The competition will run until November, during which the finalists’ stories will be compiled, after which the judges will take further.

Panchbhaya further motivates other teachers saying, “Teachers are mentors and are there to guide the students. Teachers need to understand their students and their backgrounds, as these are situations in which a listening ear may alter the lives of the children.”

He expressed his warmest gratitude to Allah (SWT) Alhamdulillah and will continue his stance against bullying through his anti-bullying campaign. Both parents and learners have praised him.
