Muallimah graduated with distinction in 1993 at a prestigious Madrasah, a mark of both her academic brilliance and firm grounding in Ilm.
Since then, she has been teaching without pause, serving in various institutions and impacting countless lives across communities. For over three decades, her classrooms have been nurseries of knowledge and tarbiyyah, nurturing the next generation of Muslims with love and discipline.
For more than ten years, she has been at the helm of her own institutions, a legacy that continues to flourish. She is the founder and principal of a Maktab dedicated to training and nurturing both male and female students from their earliest years. True to its name, the institution is meticulous in its approach, reviving hearts and minds upon the Sunnah. Apa’s vision has created a safe, spiritually enriching space where young learners grow into practicing Muslims who embody Islamic values in their daily lives.
Alongside this, Apa runs a Hifdh class for girls, short Islamic courses for women, and a comprehensive Aalimah course for girls. Over the years, many young girls have qualified through this rigorous four-year course and are now serving in their own communities, a living testimony to the far-reaching impact of her efforts. Her drive to produce outstanding students is remarkable, and she often seeks the duaas of senior Ulama and teachers, reflecting her humility in the path of Ilm. Students adore her not only as a teacher, but as a mentor who uplifts them through sincerity, love and care. Very humble in nature, she gels easily with people of every age, her captivating smile leaving warmth in every gathering.
Her influence is not limited to the young. Elderly women deeply respect her, often inviting her as a guest speaker for their yearly Senior Citizens Program, where her words bring comfort and renewed zeal. This ability to connect across generations is rare and speaks volumes about her depth of character.
Her success is also reflected in her own family. All her children are Huffaadh and Aalim/Aalimahs, a shining testament to her dedication as a mother who embodies the very values she teaches. Through them, her legacy is carried within her own household as well as in her institutions.
In addition, Apa founded a Primary and Kindergarten School, an institution rooted in Islamic ethos, blending secular education with strong Islamic values. Here, children excel academically while being grounded spiritually – a balance she has championed with foresight.
Beyond her teaching, Apa is deeply involved in charitable efforts. She quietly assists underprivileged students, supports widows and needy families, and ensures that many who would otherwise be deprived of Islamic education can study without financial burden. Her charity work is carried out with humility, never seeking recognition, but always striving to ease the difficulties of others for the sake of Allah Ta’ala.
Apa’s life is firmly anchored in Qur’anic principles and Prophetic ethics. She prays daily Tahajjud, dedicating those blessed hours to Qur’an hifdh dhor and du‘a, embodying sincerity, sabr, and istiqamah. During Ramadhan, she leads Taraweeh Salah and completes the recitation of the Qur’an, further reflecting her deep connection to the Book of Allah and her commitment to preserving and living its message. Her teachings emphasise love for the Qur’an, following the Sunnah, and cultivating haya and taqwa. Her humility, quiet service, and compassion reflect the Prophetic model of leading by example.
Apa stands as a role model for women, a mentor to the young, a source of respect for the elderly, and a servant of Allah’s Deen. Recognising her contributions would not only honour her remarkable service but also inspire others to follow in her noble footsteps.
May Allah Ta’ala accept every effort of Apa, place barakah in her health, family, and institutions, and grant her the highest ranks of Jannah. May her students, her children, and the generations she has inspired be a continuous sadaqah jaariyah for her. May Allah Ta’ala preserve her sincerity, increase her acceptance, and allow her legacy to shine as a beacon of guidance for women and the Ummah at large. Aameen.
