Autumn & Winter Garden recipes

Lawns:

Nutrition – Wonder 7:1:3 (21)
For lawns and foliage,

Or organic alternatives
Wonder Organic Pallets
& Wonder Organic Fertilizer
For Lawns

Protection: Lawn & caterpillars & ants- Efekto ant, Chloropiros or Duursban WG.
Prevent fungal diseases- Bravo 720. Harvester termites- Kamikiaze or zero harvester Termite Bait. Broadleaf weeds in lawns- Banweed, Hormoban APM or No Weed Lawn RTU.
Roundup & No Weed Paving RTU kill all unwanted plant growth.

ACTIVITES: Feed lawns monthly during Autumn & Winter. Dormant lawns do not require nutrition.

ROSES:

NUTRITION:
Wonder 8:1:5 (25) Roses
Alternatively- NEW!
Wonder Organic Fertilizer for Roses.
Foliar feed- Colorburst Rose
Yellow foliage- Ferrofood

PROTECTION:
Aphids, Redspidermite, Powdery Mildew & Black spot
Rosecare 3. Rosecare 3 RTU now also available!
Alternatively use Dursban WG, Redspidercide & Aphicide. Steel pruning wounds with Steriseal. After pruning apply Lime Sulphur or Oleum.

Activities: Roses are gross feeders requiring regular feeding to enhance blooms. Pruning is carried out from June till early August.

BULBS

Nutrition:
Wonder 3:1:5 (26) SR or Wonder Organic Pallets.
Foliar Feed- Seagro, Supranure plus or Nitrosol.

Protection: Thirps & Gladious fly- Karbaspray or Eco Natural Insecticide. Fungal infection iei.e. Rust & Mildew- Bravo . Soil borne insects i.e. Wireworms, White grubs & Crickets- Bexadust.

Activities: Moles damage bulbs, keep them at bay with Natural Mole Repellent.

ANNUALS:

Nutrition:
New! Wonder Organic Fertilizer for Seedlings. Foliar feed- Seagro, Supranure Plus or Nitrosol.

Protection: Seedlings that fall over (Damping off) virikop. Snails- snailban, snailflo or sluggem. Cutworm- cut worm bait.
Natural options – Naturen Rape Oil & Pev gard.

Activities: Prepare beds for new planting of winter flowering seedlings. Remove dead flowers regularly to promote flowering.

CONIFERS

Nutrition:
Foliar feed monthly- seagro, supranure plus or nitrosol

PROTECTION: Prevent cypress aphid infection! Apply insecticide granuals or aphicide monthly.

ACTIVITIES: Do not over water conifers

PERENNIALS, SHRUBS & TREES

Nutrition:
Prepare beds- bonemeal & wonder 2:3:4 (21)
Flower beds- Wonder 3:1:5 (26) SR Yellowing plants Ferrofood

Protection:
Protection against transplanting stress  wilt pruf propagating- Dip n root & dynaroot.
Enviro friendly insect control- natural insecticide. Frost protection  Wilt pruf

Activities:
Autumn is a great time for new plantings! The cooler months are ideal for plant establishment.

 
PONDS

Protection: Control algae with pond clear.

Activities: Maintain water features and ponds.

POT PLANT

Nutrition: Foliar feed  supranure plus or nitrosol.
Keep leaves dust free with Wonder Wipes.

Protection: Red Scale & mealybug- Dursban 75 WG or Garden Ripcord. Ants- efekto ant, RTU or Dursban75 WG

Activities: Reduce watering- cooler tempretures reduce evaporation.

HOUSEHOLD

Protection:
Ants- Antrap
Indoor pests- Fendona (odourless)
Rats & Mice  Supakill & storm
Eco- Rat & Eco  Mice
No secondary effects on predators.

Activities: Indoor pests are common in the home Rodents are problematic in Autumn & Winter.

OUTDOOR

Protection: When visiting a malaria area, treat bednets with Fendona 6 to protect against mosqitoes.
