1 & 1/2 chickens cut & washed
2 teaspoon ginger garlic
1 teaspoon chilli garlic paste
1 teaspoon fine red chilli powder
Little saffron
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 tablespoons lemon juuce
1/4 teaspoon tumeric powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cloves
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 cardamom
2 black peppercorns
2 medium onions finely chopped
3 medium potatoes deep fried
2 tablespoons ghee
• Marinate meat with spices, condiments and tomato paste.
• Braise onions in ghee till golden brown.
• Add marinated meat to this.
• Cook on medium till tender.
• Add water as necessary.
• Place potatoes over kalya when serving.
• Garnish with dhania and green chillies.
VARIATION: CAN BE MADE WITH MUTTON.
