Radio Islam is urging all South Africans to rediscover our resilience. With the commencement of our local government election coverage, we have one clear message for our listeners: Don’t give up on South Africa!
As South Africa heads towards the polls in November, we at Radio Islam won’t ignore what is broken. We’ll ask the difficult questions. We’ll highlight the struggles. We’ll encourage our listeners not to give up on South Africa. We’re saying: Come out and get involved in making South Africa great again.
During our election coverage on Radio Islam, we will confront the hard realities: crime, corruption, service failures, racism and unemployment. From the Cape to the coast and everywhere in between, we will address the issues that are affecting us all. Like the breakdown in water and electricity infrastructure, sporadic waste removal, the profusion of potholes and the endless crime that has touched us all in one way or another.
But when the national mood becomes overwhelmingly negative, people become disillusioned, they lose hope and they disengage.
So…we’ll also ask:
- What is working?
- Who is trying?
- And where are solutions emerging?
Our message is simple: When the going gets tough, the tough need to get tougher. South Africa overcame apartheid because of the strength and tenacity of the South African people. A people who stood firm and refused to give up. That same resilience must help us confront the challenges of today.
Because…this is bigger than an election.
It is about being rediscovering that resilience to become solution orientated, uncovering that strength to rebuild our country together and working as one towards a better South Africa for all.
Together with fellow Muslim media platforms across the country, we want to bring you election coverage that will inform, challenge, debate…but also, identify where the hope and solutions lie!
Radio Islam’s *Elections 2026* coverage will go beyond politics and the problems. It will go towards finding solutions, engaging participation and rebuilding a better South Africa for all.
Don’t disengage. Don’t lose hope.
DON’T GIVE UP ON SOUTH AFRICA!
