My take on helvasi
1 cup ghee
1 and half cups of semolina
Cinnamon sticks
Elachi
1 dhodi grated
Condensed milk
Nestle cream
About 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
In the Instant pot , pressure cook the dhodi with 1cup milk for 20min. While we waiting for that braise the semolina in ghee with cinnamon sticks and Elachi, once it’s braised add in the dhodi mixture with all of green colour and allow to Steam… Then add in condensed milk, nestle cream and sugar steam again and wallah done ????best served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is my sweet dish for eid lunch followed by good old fashioned biryani ☺️
