Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp each baking powder, bicarb soda, and ground cinnamon
½ tsp salt
1 cup butter milk
½ cup honey
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 egg
½ cup each pitted chopped dates and chopped pecans
Method
Combine flours baking powder bicarb soda cinnamon and salt in large mixing bowl: set aside. Beat butter milk honey vegetable oil and egg until well blended: stir into dry ingredients.Fold in dates and nuts. Pour into greased 16 ounce round tins. Bake ate 350 degrees (180) for 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in centre comes out clean. Makes three round loaves.
