Former MP and member of the ANC Fatima Chohan spoke to Radio Islam about South Africa’s current and future political landscape.

Chohan explains that despite its achievements, South Africa is like a state-of-the art computer still running on Apartheid software, and it is up to citizens to upgrade it
The proliferation of new parties that are contesting these elections reflects divisions in society: South Africans need to coalesce around SA’s challenges, and not around leaders and individuals.
It is up to the youth to take South Africa forward.
