1 kg lamb pieces… [I used leg] …washed and strained.. I soaked mine in vinegar and rough salt. Removed all the fat and cut in pieces
1 big onion
1 small tin tomato paste/4 tblsp
3 tbsp. red chilli garlic paste or Lamb Karai Masala @ sujees masala or any other Karai masala of your choice
2 tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric/arad
Salt to taste
2 tsp dhania
Sprinkle jeeru seeds
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cardamom pods/elachi
Few pepper corns, cloves ,aniseed
3 tblsp yoghurt
2 green chilies
3 potatoes
Half cup oil/ghee
SAUTE MODE:
Saute the onion in ghee with the cinnamon stick, elachi,peppercorns,green chili and jeeru. Once light and golden add the meat along with the ginger garlic, yoghurt, salt and turmeric. Allow to cook for a few minutes. Add some water. Mix well and close the lid. Set on 15 minutes pressure cook. Auto steam release to cook. Carefully open your lid add the tomatoes and spices. Set back to saute mode. Allow to simmer. Now add in your potatoes, top with water and some chooped coriander/dhania Leave on saute mode for a few minutes. If you want more gravy add in a little more water
