500ml Inkomaas
1 cup plain yoghurt
1 cup fresh cream
1 onion
1 tomatoe
Half bunch green dhania
Salt to taste
1 tsp garlic
1tsp arad
Green chillies to taste
1 tsp green masala
2 tblsp chana flour
Liquidise all the above ingredients together
In a pot add in about tblsp of ghee/ oil mixture
Add in 1 tsp whole jeera seeds
As soon as jeera seeds starts getting abit brown..add in the liquidised Khurie mixture..and stir on a low heat adding in a few curry leaves..
As soon as Khurie mixture boils move from stove..
Variations to making khurie from listeners
- Add an egg to your khurie mixture
- Binda can be added
- Butter milk can be added in place of sour milk
- Add 2 Tblsp mayonnaise
- Add in coconut nut milk instead of fresh cream
- Khurie kitchree can be served with the following side dishes aloofry, brinjal, pumpkin, spinach, mince, fish, kachoomer and fried bhinda
