Esteemed and renowned scholar Ml Ebrahim Bham says Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) never liked any disputes among the Sahaba (RA), his companions.

Ml Bham was speaking about the passing of the greatest human to have ever set foot on this earth during the Seerah Jalsa at the Nurul Islam Masjid in Lenasia a few years ago.

It is a sad reality that social media has become rife with argumentative discussion; nonsensical disputes and this among Muslims who are part of WhatsApp groups, Facebook and Twitter among other platforms.

ML Bham narrating an incident a few days before the passing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says the last prophet of Allah did not like commotion and disputes.

“Nabi (SAW) had said: No nation after being given hidayat go away from hidayat accept through the means of arguments and disputes. I guarantee a house in the middle of Jannah for a person who stays away from an argument even if he is correct.’”

Ml Bham says Allah Ta’ala warns us that we are going to go astray after getting hidayat through the means of argumentation.

“Let us sounding a warning to all. Let us all remind ourselves that this particular trend nowadays of arguing through the means of social media could be the result of us been going astray after getting hidayat. Is it necessary that because you got social media that every person must have an opinion, must have a view on every matter? Allah says don’t pursue that which you do not have knowledge about, but no, because we got that social media we must say something.”

Ml Bham says Nabi (SAW) warned us that one of the greatest ways that people are led astray after being on hidayat is through the means of argumentation.

“Look at the amount of argumentation we have.”

Ml Bham also touched on the Thursday incident in which Nabi (SAW) asked for a pen and paper just a few days before he left this world to meet Allah.
