Esteemed Islamic scholar Ml Ebrahim Bham says human relationships are so important, yet some people forsake that for materialism.

Ml Bham was speaking during the social programme on Thursday touching on a pertinent subject under the theme “Counting your blessings and the people that you have had or made a positive impact on your life.”

Quoting an Aalim during a programme in Roshnee, Ml Bham says ‘people spend so much time on bricks and mortar, when are we going to spend money on human development.’

Ml Bham says the blessings that have been bestowed upon us from Allah is not only for materialism but also for human relationships.

“How much do we regard and count this as a blessing of Almighty Allah? One of the greatest blessings is to have the dua of your parents. Never ever disregard the dua of your parents, the understanding of your spouses to be able to serve you as something that is light.”

Ml Bham shared a very important lesson from Hazrat Mufti Taqi Usmani (DB).

“Hazrat Mufti Taqi Usmani (DB) in his writings said when his father Mufti Shafisaab (RA) passed away, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Ml Zakariyya saab (ra) wrote to him and he said: ‘from now onwards be extra careful, because you no more have your fathers dua. Now did we ever count that as a blessing?”

Ml Bham says there are so many different blessings Allah has granted us that we need to recognise and acknowledge these blessings from Allah.
