1 ½ cups rice
½ cup mug dhal
2 tsp salt
Pinch of Arad
1 or 2 pieces of cinnamon stick
Ghee and oil
1/2 onion sliced
Method
• Soak mug dhal for about ½ an hour
• Put water in pot to boil
• Wash dhal and add to boiling water than add washed rice with the salt Arad cinnamon sticks.
• I add about 4 to 5 tbsp. of white vinegar in the water it makes the rice fluffy
• When boiled half way drain your rice in a colander
• Now wash pot out and add some oil at the bottom of pot
• Then add rice add about 1/2 cup water and steam rice
• U can add a little more water if u need it softer now make a vagaar with the onion and 1tsp jeero and add to the pot of steamed rice
