A young Muallimah, yet already inspiring so many other aalimahs, apas and mothers in and out of her community.

Mashallah, she has not only been serving her Reservoirhills community by teaching in her maktab from the time she was 15 years old- helping and assisting Apa Shakirah Hunter’s mother (may Allah fill her Qabr with noor), she had earned the title ‘Aapsie’ because she was so young, but eager to help out.

Once she was in her 2nd year of Aalimah, she would clock out of her Madrasah at 2:45 and and come at exactly 3:00pm to teach in Maktab, even after getting married and having a child- she continued returning and assisting in the Reservoirhills Madrasah.

Besides that, during the year 2020 she had opened an online (instagram) account sharing her ideas, crafts and activities she would prepare for her students. Assisting other apas with ways to make their maktab Madrasah classes fun and exciting!

She not only now creates the most cute and adorable activity books for kids at home and Madrasah, but she has expanded her reach as she became a mother as well, inviting mothers to her famous slogan: Ummis lap is the first Madrasah!

And many, modern, islaamic and all mothers on a whole have benefitted from her inspiring posts to sit with their little ones at home- and start to teach the Arabic Alphabets to their kids at home.

Always posting easy, free printables, ideas etc on her groups to make this possible in every home and Madrasah.

She has created a very unique range of Islaamic Activity books which are not easy to find. She has even removed photocopying from her copyright as she wants to assist teachers and mothers who can’t afford to purchase books for their whole class etc. And they can make photocopies.

Her posts are educational, motivational and full of positivity. She has created a community which are raising communities. And that’s truly beautiful.

By her helping other apas, she’s helping those communities.

And by her helping mothers, she’s helping those homes.

In a way- she’s reached more than her community Alhamdullilah and that’s amazing.

She recently has been working on a project which most mothers, including myself are looking forward to.

She is creating a home schooling syllabus.

But she is making everything islaamic and imaani muzaakirah. Linking everything academic our kids learn…to Allah.

And I feel this is the highlight. As it not only gives mothers guidance on what to teach. But how to teach. And making the mahol of our homes only with the name of Allah.

Which no school, no preschool can give our children. But ourselves, mothers.

May Allah accept her for the khidmat of his deen…always.

And keep people like this in our community and online- otherwise we will get so lost in this world and our daily chores without worrying what really matters. She gives mothers reasons to love and cherish their kids, every mundane and every exciting moment.

And we know- mothers are the backbone of society. If our mothers and homes are corrupt. Nothing will be correct.

So she’s doing more than what most people don’t see online.

She’s filling homes, creating screen free homes, happiness, and laughter.

And mainly: the consciousness of Allah.
