Israeli occupation forces surrounded and opened fire on the Al Shifa medical complex in Gaza this morning, March 18, 2024. Video footage shows dozens of Palestinians leaving the compound after receiving evacuation orders. The Shifa compound is currently sheltering hundreds of medical staff, patients, and displaced Palestinians.

The partially destroyed hospital is once again in the crosshairs of Israeli attacks after military forces claimed that Hamas have recruited people inside the Shifa Hospital, which Hamas is using as a command base, Moulana Ebrahim Moosa reported on Radio Islam International.

“What is the motive of this, time will only tell, but once again, it’s worth reminding everybody that this comes on the backs of discredited after discredited Israeli claims about hospitals and all kinds of facilities in the Gaza Strip since the beginning, since day one of this genocide,” Moulana Moosa says.

Reports indicate that the Palestinian resistance is demonstrating incredible strength, durability, and resilience despite the difficult circumstances they are faced with. Footage released by resistance forces depicts the successful launch of Yassin missiles on Israeli tanks once again, after a slight lull due to changing tactics.

Al-Qassam Brigades announced the death of Hoffman, an officer in an elite Israeli unit who was reportedly responsible for the siege on the Al-Shifa medical complex in November 2023, demonstrating a high level of intelligence and surveillance capacity.

Israel continues to suffer heavy losses from the military wing of Hamas, including anti-personnel shells dropped on Israeli military posts via drone, the loss of two quad-copter drones, and the destruction of Israeli army vehicles in the Khan Younis region of Gaza.

Israeli Major General Yitzhak Barik published an article in which he says that Israel has already lost the war to the Palestinian resistance movement.  He wrote that the situation “in Gaza and Lebanon will blow up in our faces sooner or later, and then the truth will be revealed in all its hiddenness. Every day, our soldiers are killed and seriously injured by booby traps and explosives whenever they enter houses without any inspection and without using appropriate measures.”

The failed war operation in Gaza has led Israel to change its tactics, Moulana Moosa says, and highlights two noteworthy developments. First, Israel’s construction of a fortified highway is nearing completion and threatens to further divide Gaza and solidify Israeli military control to restrict movement in the enclave.

The second is the massacre of Palestinians while attempting to secure humanitarian aid, indciating a deliberate strategy to create chaos.

Israel is attempting to manipulate aid deliveries to bolster clan leaders for a potential replacement for Hamas, Moulana Moosa says.

The emergence of Majed Faraj, head of the General Intelligence Service of the Palestinian Authority, as a figure promoted by the CIA and Mossad to oversee security in post-war Gaza, indicates that Israel’s devious plotting continues behind the scenes despite their dismal failure on the battlefield. This is further reinforced by their attempts to recruit members of prominent Gaza families.
