ICED TEA RECIPE
1 ½ liters water
8 – 10 Lipton peach and mango tea bags
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
½ cup lime cordial
Lemonade
Mint leaves
Ice cubes
Method:
In a pot add water and tea bags give a quick boil. Remove from heat and leave to cool at room temperature.
In the mean time add sugar and water to pot heat until sugar is dissolved. When tea is cooled add syrup and lime cordial and stir nicely.
Option 1: pour into ice cube tray n freeze for future use. Add one block of iced tea cube to one glass Lemonade with mint leaves.
Option 2: pour into a jug refrigerate. When ready to serve add to a fancy jug with ice cubes and mint Leaves.
Best served chilled.
Refreshing Lemon Grass Juice
Ingredients:
15 leaves lemon grass / green tea
1 litre water
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup lime cordial
½ litre Sprite
Little green colouring
Method:
Boil the leaves with the water for 15 min on low.
Add sugar and remove from stove.
Strain and add lime cordial.
Chill well before serving.
Add the Sprite, green colouring and serve slushed.
Mint Lemonade
1cup sugar
1 hand full of mint
1 lemon
1 litre water
Liquidize, strain, and serve.
Strawberry & Pineapple Punch
2 cups strawberries, chopped
3 cups water
1 cup pineapple, chopped
2 cups water
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups water
Drop of red colouring
20 ice cubes
Method:
1. Blend strawberries and water and strain mixture into a pot.
2. Blend pineapple with water and strain into strawberry mixture.
3. Boil sugar and water until a thin syrup forms.
4. Leave to cool and add to the strawberry juice.
5. Add coloring and ice cubes and pour into a jug.
