Rise Mzansi’s leader clarifies Oppenheimer funding and position on Palestine

The party’s National Leader Songezo Zibi spoke to Radio Islam International and discussed, among other things, allegations that there is a connection between the donation from Rebecca Oppenheimer and the party’s foreign policy stance.

Zibi says that despite Rise Mzansi’s financial transparency and repeated clarification that there is no link between donors and its stance on Palestine, there is a glaring lack of support for the party from Palestinian supporters.
The party has a good chance of garnering up to 5% of electoral support, notwithstanding what the polls reflect, and will use that support to represent South Africans in parliament to increase oversight, hold others accountable, and improve the quality of legislation.
