1 kg chicken breast (cubed)
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp salt
2 tblsp vinegar
2 tblsp barbecue spice
½ tsp pepper
2 tblsp butter
1 tsp red chilli powder
3 tblsp chilli sauce
1 tblsp tomato paste
METHOD:
Cook all the above with the spices until tender.
DOUGH:
2½ cups flour
125g butter
¼ cup milk and ¼ cup water
2 tsp baking powder
2-3 tsp cream
METHOD:
Make a dough by sifting flour and baking powder. Rub in butter. Add cream and enough milk and water to combine. Make onion salad with lemon juice. Slice tomato rounds. Divide dough into 2 greased pans. Roll out 1 part of the dough and spread in an oblong dish. Spread with beaten egg, spread meat, a layer of onion salad and sliced tomatoes. Sprinkle pepper over and cover with second dough. Brush with egg and bake. When done cut into squares
ONION SALAD
1 ripe tomato (cubed)
1 large onion (slice thinly – wash out in salted water)
2 radish (cubed)
1 egg (beaten)
¼ English cucumber (cubed
½ green pepper (cubed)
tomatoes (sliced)
Mix and season with black pepper, aromat and lemon juice
