Ingredients :
1 ½ kg fish
3 tbsp tamarind juice
3 – 4 red tomatoes – chopped
½ bunch spring onions – finely cut
2 tbsp fresh, crushed garlic
2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp home-made fish masala
½ tbsp arad – optional
½ cup oil
2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp jeeru
1 tbsp ghee
1 chopped onion

Method :
– To the tamarind, add tomatoes, spring onions, garlic, salt, sugar and fish masala.
– Mix well.
– Heat oil and add the mustard seeds. When they start spurting, add jeeru and onion.
– Add some curry leaves.
– Add tamarind mixture to pot and boil rapidly till thick.
– Now set fish in gravy and cook for ½ an hour.
– Sprinkle chopped dhania on top.
– Serve with rice.
