250g cooked chicken meat, shredded
1 large tomato, skinned and chopped
5ml freshly ground black pepper
10ml garlic steak seasoning
½ English cucumber, sliced
½ lettuce, finely shredded
1 small onion, peeled and thinly sliced
½ green pepper, cored, seeded and thinly sliced
25ml jeera (cumin) seeds
Juice of 1 lemon
Pinch of salt
Method:
In a large bowl, combine chicken and remaining ingredients and mix well. To allow the flavours to blend, set aside for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Variation:
For a fruity variation, add to the salad 1 cored and chopped green apple ½ peeled and chopped pineapple.
