Ingredients
4 oz butter
¼ cup sugar
1 egg
1tsp vanilla essence
1 cup self raising flour
4 oz chopped mixed nuts
Glace cherries
Method
- Cream butter and sugar until light and creamy
- Add egg and vanilla beat well
- Add sifted flour and mix to a soft sough.
- Drop rounded tspoonful of mixture into nuts
- Roll into balls
- Press half a cherry on top
- Put on to lightly greased oven tray, allow room for spreading
- Bake on 190c folr 15/20 mins
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from tray.
