125ml butter very soft
15ml grated orange rind
3 eggs
440ml self raising flour
340ml castor sugar
125ml cocoa powder
1.5ml bicarbonate of soda
125ml fresh juice
65ml
Topping
125ml caramel
250ml fresh cream, whipped
Preheat, oven to 180C. Grease a deep 20cm x 20cm square cake pan. Combine all ingredients for cake in a large until mixture has changed colour and is smooth. Pour mixture into pan and bake for about for about 1 hour. Stand for 5 – 10 minutes before turning out onto wire rack to cool completely. Top cake with caramel and cream.
