250g butter
½ cup castor sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup dates (chopped)
1 cup coconut
1 cup pecan nuts
Pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
+- 2 ½ cups flour
Pre heat oven 180C. beat the butter and castor sugar together. Add the eggs and dates and mix well. Combine with rest of the dry ingredients to complete to complete the dough. Pat the dough into a greased +- 35 cm x 25cm oven pan. Bake at 170C for +-20 minutes till the colour changes and the biscuits if firm to touch. Sprinkle with castor sugar while still hot. Or when cool dust with icing sugar.
