Healthy Rotie and Pita recipe (21.02.19)

Healthy brown pitas

Brown self-raising flour
3 cups nutty wheat flour
1 cup cake flour
40 ml baking powder
1/2 cup milk powder
Mix together and u have a healthy self-raising flour.pita..
Roll out into rounds and fry on tawa

Brown rotie 
1 cup white flour
1 cup nutty wheat flour
½ tsp salt
pinch of sugar
2 tbsp. ghee/oil
1 cup boiling water
Mix everything together and knead dough until nice and smooth. Leave dough to rest for at least 1/2 an hour or more. Divide dough into 4 balls, roll out the size of a side plate, brush roti with melted ghee/oil and sprinkle with flour. Fold and shape into a round. Now roll out roti to size of a dinner plate. Put on hot tawa, turning it over every now and then till lightly freckled, brush with ghee on either side till roti is lovely golden-brown color

*electric frying pans are ideal for making roti’s
