Ingredients:
¼ cup Rice
1 ltr Milk
4 Tbsp sugar
½ tsp cardamom powder
¼ cup sliced almonds and cashew nuts/ pista’s
2 Tbsp raisins
Method:
Boil milk in a saucepan, add rice, cardamom powder, raisins and ½ quantity of sliced almonds and cashew nuts, bring 1 boil and reduce the heat to medium. Cook until it becomes thick and creamy, stir continuously. Add sugar and cook for 5 minutes.
Rice pudding:
3 eggs
Butter
Cinnamon powder
To make pudding use left over cooked white rice. Add the same ingredients as above add 3 eggs and cinnamon powder and beat well together. Pour into greases casserole dish add a few blobs of butter bake at 180C until done +- ½ hour, sprinkle cinnamon powder. Serve with custard.
