3 Tblspns milk
3 Tblspns ghee
4 cups chana flour (chick – pea flour)
1 cup ghee
2 cups icing sugar
½ cup ground almonds
½ teaspoon nutmeg
Method:
Boil milk and the 3 tablespoons ghee, add to chana flour and mix well.
In a thick base pot heat the 1 cup ghee then add the chana flour and braise well on a medium heat until golden brown, approximately ½ – hour.
Remove from heat and add icing sugar, almonds and nutmeg, mix well and leave to cool.
Form into oblong shapes and wrap in wax paper or set in a tray. Sprinkle top with roasted slivered almonds When set, cut into blocks.
NB: ( If desired put through a food processor before shaping)
