1 cup flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp jam
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 Tbsp butter
Mix all the ingredients together and place in a grease glass dish. Bake at 180 C +- 30 minutes.
Topping:
1 cup milk
250ml fresh cream or 1 tin ideal milk
4 Tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
½ cup sugar
Boil the ingredients of the topping until slightly thick. Pudding should be ready when topping is boiled. Prick the pudding with a fork all over and pour the topping over pudding.
