Ingredients:
100ml margarine
100ml maziena
Pinch of salt
300ml flour
1 egg
80ml castor sugar
3 level tsp baking powder
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat egg. Sift flour, maziena and salt together. Press into pan and bake for 15 – 20 minutes.
Filling:
500ml milk
Pinch of salt
50ml maziena
Ground cinnamon
100ml castor sugar
3 eggs
2.5ml vanilla essence
25ml margarine
30ml flour
Mix all ingredients together (besides 2 egg whites) (1 egg + 2 egg yolks must be added to all the ingredients). Heat on stove until custard is formed. Lastly beat 2 egg whites until stiff. Fold into custard. Allow to cool and fill the tarts.
